6 Best Alternatives to the Atrix Aviation Backpack HEPA Vacuum (2026)

How alternatives compare to Atrix

Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV352 weighs 12.5 pounds, making it lighter than the 15-pound Atrix. It measures 45.5 inches tall and 11.4 inches wide. This upright design replaces the backpack form factor, requiring you to push it rather than wear it. It retains HEPA filtration to capture allergens, matching the Atrix’s air quality standards. You lose the hands-free mobility and the ability to convert the unit into a blower. This model suits users who prefer traditional upright handling and need a lighter machine for mixed flooring. It is a practical swap if you do not require the specific airflow of a backpack system.

Shark Navigator Lift-Away with LED Headlights

The Shark Navigator UV730 weighs 13.5 pounds, offering a slight weight reduction over the Atrix. It stands 45.3 inches high with a 12-inch width. This model adds LED headlights and swivel steering, features absent in the Atrix. It maintains HEPA filtration for allergen control. You give up the backpack harness and the blower conversion capability. The upright design requires more effort to maneuver on stairs compared to the hands-free Atrix. This vacuum fits homes where visibility in dark corners and easy steering are priorities. It is a solid choice for pet owners who need versatile cleaning modes without the bulk of a backpack unit.

Shark Vertex Lift-Away Upright

The Shark Vertex AZ2002 weighs 16.4 pounds, making it heavier than the 15-pound Atrix. It measures 46.3 inches tall and 12 inches wide. This premium upright offers HEPA filtration but lacks the backpack form factor and blower function. You gain a robust build for mixed flooring but lose the hands-free mobility. The increased weight may be a drawback for users who need to carry the vacuum up and down stairs frequently. This model is best for those who prioritize suction power and durability over portability. It serves as a reliable alternative for deep cleaning carpets and above-floor tasks without the need for a harness.

Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum

The Shark Navigator UV725 is an upright vacuum with HEPA filtration. It lacks a listed weight in the data, so its portability relative to the 15-pound Atrix is unclear. It offers a detachable wand for above-floor cleaning, similar to the versatility needed for stairs. You lose the backpack harness and the blower conversion feature found in the Atrix. The upright design requires you to push the unit across floors. This model suits pet owners who need reliable filtration and versatile cleaning tools. It is a practical option if you prefer traditional upright handling and do not require the specific airflow or hands-free benefits of the Atrix backpack system.

Shark Rotator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum

The Shark Rotator NV501 weighs 15.5 pounds, closely matching the Atrix’s weight. It stands 45.7 inches tall with a width of 12.1 inches. This upright vacuum provides HEPA filtration and versatile cleaning modes. You lose the backpack form factor and the ability to convert the unit into a blower. The Rotator offers a lift-away feature for above-floor tasks, providing some flexibility similar to the Atrix’s versatility. However, it requires you to push and maneuver the main unit. This model fits households that prioritize deep carpet cleaning and above-floor tasks over the hands-free mobility of a backpack vacuum.

Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Allergen Lift-Off

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser 39883 weighs 15.7 pounds, slightly heavier than the Atrix. It measures 44.7 inches tall and 11.9 inches wide. This model includes HEPA filtration and specialized pet tools for allergen control. You give up the backpack harness and the blower conversion capability. The upright design requires you to push the unit, unlike the hands-free Atrix. This vacuum is designed for homes with shedding animals, focusing on tangle-free cleaning. It is a suitable alternative if you need targeted pet hair removal and allergen containment without the need for a backpack system or blower functionality.
